So, Oliver, in terms of angel investors what the top three reasons why they don't invest in a business or, you know, what are the three top reasons why somebody fails to raise the money?Oliver Woolley
So the top three reasons I'd say are the strength of the business, the strength of the management team and the strength of the deal. The business has to be good and solid enough and be possible to achieve it's supposed growth, so that the company can grow to a significant size and exit at a significant multiple. The management team quite often if they're not as strong and convincing as they should be that’ll be one of the key reasons that an investor will not want to proceed. And the deal. We get some companies looking for ridiculous deals. If you're pre-revenue, early stage start-up looking for half a million pounds and only prepared to give away 10% of the company that will be one of the main reasons that an investor will reject the investment.Neil Ackroyd
Okay. And, you know, the other side of that is really, you know, what massively excites these investors and what would you think are the top three reasons why they, you know, would invest?Oliver Woolley
So, the three most likely reasons why an investor would invest are, or some investors would say the three most important aspects are management, management and management where they far prefer to invest into a great management team with an average idea rather than average management team with a great idea.Business Angels.
