Welcome to Corporate FTV, Real Deals interview page. Neil tell me about the Real Deal interviews.
Neil Ackroyd:
Well it occurred to us that there is real value in finding out information on deals really as soon as the deal completes. So we thought about what mechanism we can use to actually get these to our users and subscribers. We decided that what we would do is interview people pretty much immediately as a deal has gone through via a webcam and that enables us to transmit the videos within days of the deals happening. The people that we look to interview are the buyer and the seller and if it’s a management buy out the management team on that deal. So you get a bit of a 360 view of the deal.
What users can get out of those is regardless of whether you are a corporate finance advisor, a private equity player, a management buy out candidate or somebody looking to sell their business, you can see if there is an interview with an owner manager vendor you can see their emotional journey on the deal and how they got over the aspects on it. If you are a management buy out candidate you can see what are VCs actually like to work with from the mouths of somebody who has just actually been through a deal process with them whilst it is still raw and fresh. You can understand what the private equity players are trying to achieve by that deal. You can see what type of deals they are actually investing in and how they feel about them at the time. You can also see, if you are interested in corporate strategy if a corporate acquirer is buying a business you can see how that deals fits into their overall acquisition strategy and how it fits with their acquisition strategy going forward.
So we are very excited about these videos. They are very useful to a wide array of users. What I would also say is that there are two ways that you can interface with these videos so there is a growing database which can be searched on our site. So you can go to the site and search by sector or by interview type, management buyout or vendor or corporate acquirer or time or you can subscribe to the videos and we will email them to you or notify you as videos go up and you can do that by sector also.
